Q2 2020 Nō Ka ‘Oi Highway Hui Award Recipient: Kīhei-Wailea Medical Center

Sep 2, 2020

Congratulations to the Kīhei-Wailea Medical Center for earning our Nō Ka ʻOi Highway Hui Award for the second quarter of 2020! The Kīhei-Wailea Medical Center first became involved with the Adopt-A-Highway Program in 2006. Its staff has taken remarkable care of their adopted portion of the highway along North Kīhei Road near the Ma`alaea mud flats and Kealia Pond for 14 years! On average, they’ve organized 15 to 25 volunteers to pick up as many as 30 bags of rubbish at a time. That goes a long way toward reducing pollutants from entering the ocean and contaminating our environment. We are pleased to recognize them for their exceptional commitment to this program!
